We had the pleasure of celebrating the inauguration of the IUM Alumni Club Sweden, marking an important milestone in the continued development of IUM’s global alumni engagement. This initiative forms part of our recently launched Alumni Ambassador Program, designed to foster and animate local alumni communities worldwide.
As we celebrate IUM’s 40th anniversary in 2026, this moment reflects our commitment to strengthening meaningful connections across our international alumni network.
Hosted at the Sällskapet Club in Stockholm, the evening provided an elegant and welcoming setting for meaningful exchanges. What made the event truly special, however, was above all the strong presence and engagement of our alumni community.
This initiative was made possible thanks to the valued support of H.E. Ms Stéphanie Vikström, Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco to Sweden and Finland, Mr. Jan E. Frydman, Consul of Monaco in Sweden, as well as the dedication of our Alumni Ambassadors, Dr. Caroline Frisenberg and Ms Pernilla Brolin.
We would also like to warmly thank the 35 alumni who joined us for this special occasion. It was a pleasure to reconnect with such a diverse and cross-generational group, including several graduates from the early years of the University (formerly the University of Southern Europe), illustrating the strong and enduring bonds that unite the IUM community across generations.
What stood out most was the engagement and openness of our alumni — their interest in the University’s evolution, their curiosity about ongoing initiatives, and their genuine willingness to remain involved and contribute.
This is only the beginning, and we are pleased to see that further initiatives are already being considered locally in Stockholm.
