The 6th edition of the Monaco Symposium on Luxury, organized by the International University of Monaco, took place from April 1 to 3, 2025, at the Hotel Meridien Beach Plaza and the university's campus. The event convened approximately 250 business executives and researchers to discuss the theme "Luxury: A Story of Heritage, Innovations, and Disruptions in the AI Era."
Event Highlights:
April 1: The symposium commenced with a welcome session, followed by opening conferences. A special roundtable, in partnership with Les Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France (CCE), focused on "Le luxe à la Française" (The French Luxury). The day concluded with a networking cocktail party on the Meridien's terrace.
April 2: The day featured multiple academic sessions at the International University of Monaco, presenting 16 research papers in the morning and an additional 16 in the early afternoon. Later, the Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) Insight Summit addressed experiential tourism and yachting, emphasizing strategies in luxury destination management. The evening concluded with a gala dinner at the Meridien.
April 3: The final day included special sessions on business case studies related to luxury fashion, retail brands, and AI. Further academic presentations were held, culminating in a closing keynote speech. The symposium concluded with a finger food lunch, followed by a Doctoral Colloquium for selected doctoral students.
Throughout the symposium, participants engaged in discussions on balancing heritage with innovation in the luxury sector, particularly in the context of AI-driven transformations. The event provided a platform for sharing insights and fostering collaborations among academics and industry professionals.
