A Deep Dive into Luxury Brand Strategy

MSc in Luxury Management students had the privilege of welcoming two distinguished guest speakers to Dr. Julia Riedmeier’s Luxury Brand Strategy class. These sessions brought academic concepts to life, offering real-world insights into both heritage and modern luxury brands.

Dr. Riedmeier shared:
"The session brought to life the concepts taught in class through practical, real-world examples. Following the presentation, students engaged in a dynamic Q&A session, including their own questions and those we had prepared to deepen their understanding."

A Heritage Luxury Brand – Robbe & Berking

Dr. Karolina Stefanski, Silver & Yachting Ambassador and art historian, introduced Robbe & Berking, one of the world’s leading silver manufacturers. She explored the challenges and strategies behind balancing tradition and innovation for this 150-year-old brand.

A Modern Luxury Brand – SACLÀB

Co-founder Alexandra M.T. Stueck shared her journey in launching SACLÀB, the first online marketplace for high-value secondhand handbags with a 360° service approach. She revealed how the brand was built from the ground up and the key elements shaping its identity in the evolving luxury landscape.

At IUM, guest speakers are an essential part of the MSc in Luxury Management curriculum. IUM believes that experiential learning enhances classroom knowledge, providing students with valuable industry exposure and networking opportunities to better prepare them for their future careers.
