The International University of Monaco is strengthening its relationship with Sweden through a new partnership developed in collaboration with the Consulate of the Principality of Monaco to Sweden. This initiative reflects IUM’s commitment to fostering international connections and leveraging its global alumni network to support education, innovation, and cross-border collaboration.
As part of this partnership, IUM has appointed two alumni as IUM Alumni Ambassadors: Dr. Caroline Frisenberg, (BBA 2006, DBA 2021) based in Monaco and Pernilla Brolin (B.A. Business and E-Commerce) based in Stockholm. Their mission is to support the creation and development of the IUM Alumni Sweden–Monaco Club, designed to connect Swedish alumni in both countries and encourage long-term engagement.
The club’s vision is to empower alumni through networking, mentorship, and high-profile events, while promoting Monaco and IUM as a hub for academic excellence, professional development, and cultural exchange. A strategic action plan has been developed to structure activities and strengthen collaboration between alumni communities in Sweden and Monaco.
Looking ahead, IUM sees strong potential to align this initiative with joint events involving key Monaco stakeholders such as the Monaco Economic Board, MonacoTech, and the Attractiveness Unit.
Through this initiative, IUM continues to position its alumni as ambassadors of both the university and Monaco’s international ecosystem.
