A Special Homecoming: Welcoming an Alumna 35 years After Her Graduation Back To IUM

This month, I had the great pleasure of welcoming alumna Marisa DiCarlo D'Alessandro back to the IUM campus. A graduate of our MBA program in 1991 and originally from Canada, Marisa shared a story that was especially remarkable.

It was wonderful to hear the positive memories she still holds of IUM and the impact her MBA experience had on her personal and professional journey. Inspired by her time at IUM, Marisa went on to create her own school - a Canadian College in Italy - carrying forward the transformative impact of education and inspiring future generations.

In addition, two of her three children have also successfully completed their studies at IUM, a wonderful example of the lasting bonds families can build with our institution across generations.

Moments like these remind us of the strength of the IUM community. It is always rewarding to see our alumni stay connected to the university, value the memories they made here, and return to share their achievements with us.

As we celebrate IUM's 40th Anniversary this year, we look forward to reconnecting with alumni from around the world and welcoming many of you back to campus.
