Top 3 in Europe, Top 9 in the World – CFA Institute Research Challenge 2025
We’re thrilled to announce an incredible milestone for IUM — Team Alpha has secured 3rd place in the EMEA Final of the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2025, earning a spot among the Top 9 student finance teams worldwide, out of over 1,000 teams globally!
After taking first place in the national round in France and then dominating the Regional Final, our team proudly represented IUM on the EMEA stage, standing shoulder to shoulder with the top universities from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
This prestigious challenge, hosted by the CFA Institute, tests students on real-world investment analysis. This year, they focused on Kering Group, a leader in luxury goods.
Huge congratulations to our outstanding students — Dorian B. Ben Youssef, Max De Paola, David Hepting, Angela Claudia Miljak, and Samira Rodriguez — for this exceptional performance!
A special thank-you to Dr. Grégory Moscato (Program Director) and Dr. Domenico Campa (Deputy Director), for their dedicated guidance and support throughout the project.
We’re also deeply grateful to Vincent Tange, CFA, CAIA, Industry Mentor & Head of Discretionary Equities, for sharing his invaluable expertise and feedback.
And of course, much appreciation to all the IUM classmates and supporters who encouraged the team every step of the way!
To celebrate, we're also sharing a look back at the IUM teams from previous years — a tribute to the legacy of talent and passion in our MSc in Finance program.
This success is a reflection of the drive, professionalism, and excellence that define the IUM experience.
