About the Artists:
Jungles in Paris is a purpose-driven media project based in New York City. Founded by brothers Darrell and Oliver Hartman in 2013, it uses documentary film and other forms to tell stories about nature and culture, with the intention of exploring planet Earth in all its multi-colored diversity.
Many of their films live on their website, junglesinparis.com. Jungles also works with a variety of distribution partners, mostly online, and brings their work to international film festivals and cultural venues such as META.
Spotlighting craft, culture, geography and wildlife, Jungles aims to celebrate subjects—human and non-human alike—that are often at risk of extinction in the 21st century. In doing so Jungles aims to connect viewers to the natural world and embrace slower, more sustainable ways of living.
