IUM Graduation Ceremony: Congratulations Class of 2014, you made it!
The International University of Monaco Graduation was held on Saturday June 21th 2014 at the Salle Prince Pierre of the Grimaldi Forum.
A hundred and sixty-two students from over 45 countries in the world gathered one last time in Monaco as students to receive their very-well deserved diplomas, towards which they worked so hard. Ceremony was held for the third year in a row in the Salle Prince Pierre of the Grimaldi Forum, famous congress & business center of the Principality. Families, friends, professors and classmates were all present to applaud their graduates. This year, students graduated from the Bachelors, Masters, MBA, EMBA and DBA programs.
IUM prizes reward academic achievements but also ethical values
Since many years now, IUM is proud of its special partnership with Société Générale Monaco that sponsors the Class Valedictorian prizes. Our nine valedictorians (Felix Claus Undergraduate, Adam Feller MScFIN, Eeva Taponen MScSBM, Alexandra Unger MScIB, Patricia Heydemann MScIM, Estelle Dinh MScLUX, Ingo Steffgen MScSPS, Nazanine Matin MBA, Jan Hendrik Voss EMBA) received a digital tablet to reward their academic achievements throughout their studies at IUM.
Furthermore, for the third year Alumnus, Michael Bouchard (MBA class of 2007) offered a check of € 1.000 for the “IUM Monaco Outreach Award” to a student who significantly contributed to a volunteering project within the IUM and Monegasque community. The third lucky winner of this special prize is Nicolas Bouzanne, Master in International Business Management student.
The IUM “Best School Spirit Award”, sponsored by the prestigious Swiss watch manufacturer Parmigiani-Fleurier, was won by non-other than Adam Feller, Master of Science in Finance; he received a unique timepiece, engraved with his name and the IUM logo. This award aims to reward a student elected by his/her fellows, who has displayed an unwavering dedication to the core values of the school: respect for others, honesty, integrity, cultural awareness, team spirit and a strong sense of ethics.
The ceremony was followed by a celebratory cocktail offered to families and friends in the foyer of the Grimaldi Forum. Champagne glasses and a lot of picture taking ended the afternoon festivities. In the evening, black ties and gowns took over the suits and cocktail dresses for the final celebrations in the sparkling ambiance of the gorgeous Hotel Meridien Beach Plaza. Many tears of joy, laughter and memories of a lifetime will be forever pinned on our new Alumni.
Congratulations Class of 2014, you made it!
