Dear Family Business Leader,

As key contributors to worldwide economies and societies, family businesses play an essential role in fostering innovation, creating jobs, and upholding their families’ core values and legacies. The STEP Project Global Consortium (SPGC - https://spgcfb.org/ ) unites scholars worldwide who are studying the successful entrepreneurial practices of family businesses. Together, SPGC and KPMG Private Enterprise recognize the importance and value of these contributions and are conducting a 15-minute survey to better understand the values, beliefs, and structures among family businesses such as yours within various national, cultural, and environmental contexts.

By participating in this global survey, you will contribute to valuable research that benefits the family business community. Your input will help identify best practices, emerging trends, and successful entrepreneurial strategies that can be shared among family business leaders like yourself.

The survey data will be used for an in-depth report on successful practices for nurturing transgenerational entrepreneurship in family firms. Participation is voluntary, all responses will remain confidential, and results will only be presented in aggregate form. All electronic files (transcripts, databases, spreadsheets, etc.) containing identifiable information will be password-protected. Any computer-hosted files will also be password-protected to prevent access by unauthorized users.
