Our beloved Professor Ingo Bobel passed away

Dear Alumni,

This week starts with some very sad news for our IUM community.

Our beloved Professor Ingo Bobel passed away this weekend, after a long battle with illness.

I know how popular Ingo was for all his students, and that all IUM alumni who had been fortunate enough to have had Ingo as a professor loved him immensely. Rest assured, this was reciprocal: Ingo was passionate about his job and, as you know, always available for his students.

Ingo had long been a pillar of the IUM community, continuously forward-thinking; kind and caring; positive and constructive.

We will all miss him terribly. In these times when we are unable to gather together, we can nonetheless all share together in thought for his loved ones, and to keep this exceptional human being always in our memories.
