2018 Annual IUM Alumni Reunion

On Friday May 18th, IUM hosted its Annual Alumni Reunion at MonacoTech, around the themes of entrepreneurship and blockchain. The opening address by Fabrice Marquet, Director of MonacoTech, gave some insight on the goal of MonacoTech, and their vision for the future of innovation in Monaco, while Jean-Philippe Muller, General Director of IUM, shared some information about new programs, current corporate partnerships, and future initiatives.

The evening then continued with one of our Alumni, Mihai Ivascu, founder and CEO of Modex, sharing some tips with the audience on the successes and challenges of entrepreneuship, with his “From MONEYMAILME to MODEX presentation”. He was then followed by Filipe Zago, IUM Alumnus 2008, Business Consultant at Deloitte, who gave a thorough presentation of what blockchain, technology is, and how it will change, and already is changing the financial and global market. Pierre-Yves Dittlot, CEO & Founder of Ledgity, and Mario Rathouis, IUM class of 2018, closed the round of presentations by detailing how Ledgity sees security token as the next big trend in wealth management.

IUM Alumni and friends went on to enjoy the rest of the evening talking to old friends, sharing insights, and making new connections. We hope the event was as fruitful and fun for all the people who came, as it was for all of us, and we’re looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
